I'm not sure if it's because I've been watching a lot of Sex and the City episodes in anticipation of the new movie, but lately I've been obsessed with taxi cab yellow! I especially love the bright, saturated color with navy blue. If bright hue's aren't your thing but you want to have some fun, bring in the navy for bridesmaid dresses and linens and save the yellow for fun accessories like earrings and shoes.

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure to meet with the husband and wife team behind Twirl Images. I just love that name! With a photography background in advertising, Steve & Wendy Widoff bring an artistic approach to wedding day memories you'll want to keep forever. They don't stop there though, they also do portrait and fashion photography. Check them out!

Believe me, I'm all about the DIY wedding trend. Table numbers, favors and menu cards are wonderful projects you can create yourself and have a great time making. However trying to create an entire do it yourself wedding? That's just a bad idea all the way around. You want to enjoy your wedding and with the help of a coordinator the entire planning process. For many, Valentines Day is the ultimate day for L-O-V-E. A Valentines wedding has endless possibilities... red velvet cake, heart shaped menu cards, even a classic love song for your processional. But how far would you go for love? There's a fine line between a creative all-red tablescape and cheesy conversation hearts on your cake table. What do you think?

Limelight Photography is doing something right. Recently I had the opportunity to check out their studio on a beautiful horse farm (how cool is that!?) and fell in love with their work and their custom logo door. Rebecca and Michael showed me what their brides experience during a meeting... a beautiful slide show, a sample of an optional custom wedding album and my favorite, a fully stocked bar. After spending time with the husband and wife team behind Limelight, I can see why they're almost booked up through 2010. They're great company and their quality of work is amazing.

Let me just say, the details of a wedding are extensive and as a planner I notice them all. My absolute all-time favorite detail of a wedding? The dress, plain and simple. What better than the most fabulous outfit you will ever wear?! Don't get me wrong, I do love signature cocktails and a flawless ceremony processional, but there's just something about the dress. Solutions Bridal in Winter Park & Gainesville has finally received the Spring 2010 collection I've been waiting for from designers such as Kenneth Pool and Rivini. Here's a sneak peak of some of my favorite gowns yet:

I'm going to be honest, it took me some time to decide what to write about and then actually find the guts to start typing. I've come to realize that it's a totally different experience blogging for your own company. It's personal and it's honest and for the first time it's scary! But as soon as I could get over my fear I started to think about why I was writing this blog. I want my brides, my friends and other wedding professionals to get to know me just a little bit better. I want those who share the same passion for weddings to be able to read my blog and realize that I too have a love for unique cake toppers and exquisite centerpieces. So for all my brides and all the wedding obsessed, this blog is for you!
