Vow Renewal at the Ritz

Recently I had the privilege to attend a vow renewal as a guest with my boyfriend, Crafton. It was amazing! The ceremony was both beautiful and touching and the reception was absolutely beautiful. I couldn't help but blog about the event... take a look at the details:

Ceremony was held indoors at the Ritz-Carlton Sarasota. The white feathers against the pink drape was stunning! Congrats Kevin & Francesca!

Me & Crafton having a wonderful time!

The centerpieces were silver candelabras overflowing with white cymbidium orchids and crystals with a hydrangea base. Beautiful!

Francesca choose peacock feathers as a theme and carried them from the invitations into the decor and place settings.

This cake was fabulous, plain and simple! I still can't get over how tall it was.....

There I am with the cake towering over me!

Getting your nails done before the big day means making one more difficult decision... what color to choose! Log on to OPI's website where you can choose your nail length, skin tone and color that goes best with that special white dress of yours.

TIP: Click on "Soft Shades" to sample traditional wedding-worthy shades.
My favorite is a pink shade called California Raspberry... got to love the cute names!

Red, White & Blue... with a twist!

4th of July inspired me to create a wedding inspiration board of our patriotic colors. Instead of true blue I substituted cerulean and instead of classic lipstick red, a fiery red-orange. Here is what I came up with for a wedding fit for George & Martha Washington!

Color Splash: Taxi Cab Yellow & Navy

I'm not sure if it's because I've been watching a lot of Sex and the City episodes in anticipation of the new movie, but lately I've been obsessed with taxi cab yellow! I especially love the bright, saturated color with navy blue. If bright hue's aren't your thing but you want to have some fun, bring in the navy for bridesmaid dresses and linens and save the yellow for fun accessories like earrings and shoes.
